Applied Learnings

Our clients have taken in principles and understanding from our team and have incorporated them into their lives at work or home in a new section we named Applied Learnings. Here are their learnings in their own words.

Gail and Go Green Learning have been instrumental in assisting our staff to clearly identify and articulate impediments that were holding us back from being an effective team. She further helped us coach and train our staff and managers to enhance skills sets and truly operate as a supportive, forward-thinking team – instead of a group of individuals with sometimes conflicting agendas. Her ability to see beyond the surface is uncanny. She connects the tangible and the intangible to make us all better leaders.

Gail has been working with our staff at the LA Gay and Lesbian Center for the past two years. In helping me raise the bar of professionalism in our work unit, Gail engages her skill of intuition about people with solid organizational tools to assist people in connecting with their ability to function well at work. Working with employees to let go of old behaviors and patterns in order to find greater meaning in their work and their outcomes are areas in which Gail is truly talented. She has been an amazing coach and advisor to me.

Good morning!

I was thinking about you (again…still) last night as I was watching the election events unfold.

I’m doing some follow-up work with the whole team this Friday (on our weekly conference call) where we’ll start to “memorialize” our team/behavior/communication guidelines and the things we will need to learn and unlearn in order to live up to those (as you coached me about when we were together a few weeks ago).
Earlier in the day yesterday, I was talking with someone on the team here about it as she was having difficulty with the prep work (thinking about the items they feel might be included as guidelines).  She was saying that she felt that unless the whole team was “on-board”, none of the guidelines would matter…”it just won’t work”.  We had a lengthy discussion about that and I shared that I tend to take a different view; and that is that it really doesn’t bother me if not everyone is “on board” because I’ve seen some pretty amazing changes occur anyway…if we just keep centered and keep at it.  She said she’d have to think about that (so I wasn’t really sure if she agreed but it was a fun conversation).

Last night, I had my beliefs reinforced like a brick to the head!  And the person I was talking to yesterday came in this morning with the same observation!

What a study of the astounding change that can happen if you never, ever give up.  Didn’t matter that for hundreds of years a whole bunch of people said, “No, no…you can’t do that.  It’s never been done.  We’re not on-board so you can’t”.  Didn’t matter that not everyone was on-board even now; ENOUGH folks were and look what happened!

Amazing the way the universe works.

Yes we can.
